Red Nova Lily

A Tokyo Ghoul inspired drawing. The red thin stamens belong to the Spider Lily flower and the succulent itself is a Strictiflora Nova. The purple tones represent the corruption that Kaneki had to endure. 

This drawing is an overall symbol of my experiences involving mental health. As a child your senses capture life so brightly. Time goes on and you experience new things. Some good and some bad. I remember the day darkness crawled towards me and changed the colors of the world around me.

As an adult, we try to move on after traumatic events. Unfortunately things never are the same again. We are forced to become stronger in order to survive. For some that means there may be less and less of what makes us who we are..
